Freeware/Shareware Distribution
AiPICT (Ai Picture Utility) and AiPICX (Ai Picture Explorer)
can be freely copied, distributed, uploaded to online services or posted on
your Internet site, in its uninstalled, unmodified form.
Freeware/Shareware Distributors that charge a nominal fee for reproduction and distribution,
may distribute in accordance with recognized Shareware distribution guidelines
(e.g., Association of Shareware Professionals).
Each application is packaged in a self-installing archive that is
ZIP-compatible and can be tested with ZIP utilities. Each application
is further encapsulated in a ZIP file. Under no circumstance is the
self-installing archive to be modified (e.g., AiPICT82.exe, AiPICX82.exe).
You may add a README (or equivalent) file stating anti-virus software used to
verify archive and Shareware Distributor contact info (e.g., email, Web site);
no other addition to the archive is allowed.
If distributing via CDROM (or disk) with publications (e.g., book, magazine), you
can use our software to illustrate or support your subject matter (e.g., Multimedia,
Internet, Web page creation, thumbnails, games, graphics, video, image processing),
provided:
- it is distributed in its unmodified, uninstalled form (see above);
- you explicity agree to and optionally state its disclaimer, as stated during setup,
on your media:
[ AiPICT or AiPICX ] is distributed AS IS. Any expressed or implied warranties, including,
but not limited to, warranties of merchantability and fitness for ANY use or
purpose are specifically disclaimed. In no event shall the author be liable
for ANY loss of profit or damage including, but not limited to special,
consequential, incidental, or other damages.
A copy of the publication with distributed media would be appreciated.
