Desktop & Helper Application Integration

By default, VidFun can be associated with numerous graphics and multimedia files. Whenever, you double-click on a supported file type with Win95 Explorer (or File Manager in Win3x), VidFun is launched to display or play the file (or select multiple files and Drag & Drop them into VidFun ... you can even drag & drop a file on its desktop icon).

Any application can use VidFun as the default graphics viewer or multimedia player. Only one instance of VidFun is required (uses less resources); additional images are added to its multiple document interface, making it an ideal helper application for Internet Browsers (e.g., Netscape, Internet Explorer, ...).

Radical Multimedia Slideshows & Screen savers

There are essentially four tracks: graphics, CD music, video, and digital audio. WAV or MID (music) plays until a new digital audio file takes over; graphics (e.g., JPG) can overlap with various effects and remain as a background for video (AVI, MOV or MPG). You can even override the audio track of any video file with your choice of WAV file; MIDI music can be mixed while video (with sound) is playing. CD music is totally independent; mix it with graphics and an additional audio track (e.g., narration). With FLI animation (instead of video), you can mix tracks without limitations.

Slideshow scripts have flexible thumbnail functions to visually reorder slides (drag & drop) and manage your multimedia source files. With a combo spreadsheet-style editor and graphical layout (thumbnails), you can add, insert, delete, move, test, view (full screen w/ auto scroll bars) and rearrange slides with ease; each slide can independently specify:

Each AVL file (slideshow script) supports over 2000 slides (depending on features and directories used). For unlimited slides, you can chain (pass control) to another AVL script. Slide filenames are also drive-independent ; VidFun searches all available fixed drives so you can distribute AVL files to anyone.

Global slideshow/screensaver options are also available:
